It will feature design overhaul since its previous version, with LED headlights that stretch into the grille, air intakes along its front wheel bends, immaculately shaped lines with perfectly crafted flanks and LED tail lamps that are connected by a razor-thin strip of chrome trim. The 2017 7-Series’ dimensions will remain more-or-less the same as the previous one.
The previous 7-Series was certainly quite on the heavier side and suffered much criticism on how it could do with losing a few extra pounds. With this in mind, BMW engineers have decided to take weight out of the 2017 BMW 7-Series, and they started by developing a new ‘Carbon Core’ platform made from high-strength steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber-reinforced plastic.
The new-forged structure helps new BMW 7-Series shed around 300 pounds of weight over its outgoing model, adds rigidity, and reduces interior noise. Use of carbon fiber at specific parts both inside and outside helps lower the car’s center of gravity.
