2017 Jeep Wrangler Concept, Redesign

The next generation of Jeep’s iconic midsize SUV, the Wrangler has been cleared by Fiat Chrysler officials to be finally on its way. Thought that could be still quite a good while from now, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler will definitely make quite the impact on the pickup segment and change the course of the race for the best car in 2017.

2017 Jeep Wrangler – Redesign

For the 2017 Wrangler there could be a new chassis design platform in the offing or Jeep may stick to the traditional frame and focus on modifying the engine setup and interiors, or if things go right do all of these simultaneously. Its iconic status of course, is embellished with its low profile framework and true AWD configuration and an industry defining pair of solid front + rear axles.

As things stand, Jeep certainly does need to rethink strategies and carefully plan out their game plan and needless to say, they certainly do have a lot in their plate to chew on. That factor is mostly because of the stiff competition in the Wrangler’s segment where some really competent rival models have started to rule the segment. For Wrangler it would be a challenge and definitely a priority to bring itself back to the glory of its former days.

For the 2017 Jeep Wrangler there is clearly a lot of room for improvement if it is to make up a lot of ground in its race for this segment.

2017 Jeep Wrangler – Exterior and Interior Concept

To keep up with the industry demands, we have already seen some earlier editions of Wrangler that had the best 4WD capabilities in a pickup by a long shot. The one thing that 2017 Jeep Wrangler should provide for is good fuel efficiency. So for this reason there’s high possibilities that the all metal body and powertrain components may be replaced with aluminum rich alloy.

There is also the possibility of reinforced suspension systems. Details on the chassis frame could still be debatable but what we can expect is a host of changes to upgrade the chassis for increased utility. These features would include a black reinforced front and rear bumper, a fixed-frame hoop that gives rollover protection, the usual soft-top convertible roof, externally adjustable power door mirrors and halogen bulb headlights with a surface lens.

2017 Jeep Wrangler should have reshaped dimensions which would correct its length to 152.8 inches, the width to 73.7 inches, and give it and overall height of around 70.9 inches. A newly reconfigured ground clearance of 8.8 inches gives the pickup an unfair advantage. Further upgrades that might be in the offing include a power-controlled movable rear window,a pair of rigid beam suspension upfront and in the rear which also includes a stabilizing bar and supporting spring recoils.

The interiors of 2017 Jeep Wrangler should be upgraded to a considerably high level of utility and comfort settings. The new car would be fit with tons of features that focus on all terrain utility, comfort, driving convenience and safety.A touchscreen infotainment console that controls an audio system that’s fit with a CD/MP3 Player with AUX, USB and HDMI ports has been added.

A 12 V socket outlet will also be fitted to the dashboard cluster. Further installments include a digital clock, an integrated ABS and engine management system that regulates electronic traction control, and stability control function.Plush leather upholstery for bucket seats include 3 points height adjustable seat belts with center armrests for front seats, and side curtain and front multi-stage deployment airbags for driver and passenger.

The first diesel trim option is an I4 2.8 liter diesel unit that gives up to 180 HP and 295 lb/ft of torque.

The second option for the diesel powertrain is a turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 EcoDiesel unit, which has been introduced for the 2017 Grand Cherokee.
