2017 Kia Sportage – Under the hood

The outlook of 2017 Kia Sportage SUV is inspired by jets, but it relies on a pair of 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine as its power source. This engine has been carried over from present model and it has an output of 181 HP and 177 lb ft of torque. Additionally, a turbocharged 2.0 liter unit is also available, capable of generating 241 HP along with 260 lb ft of torque.

Considering the normal output of modern engines, both these engines are a bit on down side, as far as power is concerned. It would probably be because of better fuel economy. Both the engines are mated with a 6 speed auto transmission. While all wheel drive is available optionally, front wheel drive comes as standard.
