You may not have heard the name of 2017 Nissan Frontier but you have definitely seen pictures of this car on the internet. Nissan has been working on this car for about a year. It was about to release in 2014 but due to some manufacturing problems, they postponed for the release to 2017.

According to Nissan, they are providing the best protection. It includes seat belts, 4 air bag protection with dual quality pressure intact protection. Electronic doors provide protection by assigning fingerprint protection. They have introduced a new technology called the auto drive mode. This mode will prevent accidents to happen.

The seat which has been used inside this car is made up of soft leather and furnished mats have been placed on the floors. This provides comfort and easiness inside this car. Besides this air conditioning, dual zone climate controls are also in favor of providing good environment inside this car.

Technologies used

Some of the technologies which are used inside this car are ABS brake assist which helps in providing braking assistance along cruise control. This truck also has a push start button and power locks. For entertainment purpose they have installed Bose audio system with around 13 speakers with bass booster. It also has Bluetooth connectivity, Parking sensors, DVD player, 8.7 inches LED screen and a power steering wheel.

They have changed the previously used 18 inch wheel to 20 inches alloy wheels. Nissan has also installed Parking assist with monitor inside the car. They have also installed heater inside this car which get very effective during the winter days. It also has fingerprint sensors on the door knob which increases security.

New bumpers has been introduced with dust free technology which protection from dust and rain. It also has highly efficient and long-lasting LED lights. These are rectangle in the front and circular in the rear side. The chassis is made up of hard metals like carbon, silicon and also aluminium which signify low weight of this car.

The 2017 Nissan Frontier will be getting a six or eight-cylinder Inline 4 engine with auto cooling technology. It will have a capacity of 2.5 liter with horsepower production close to 152 HP at the rate of 5200 rpm. It can produce a maximum torque of 171 lb-ft at the rate of 4400 rpm. Other engine will have a capacity of 4.0 liters with 261 hp.

There are around 16 valves installed inside this car with turning circle capacity of 43.4 ft. This engine will be running at seven speed automatic transmission with six set gearbox technology. This engine will be of gas type and fuel capacity tank has been increased to 21.1 gal.

Fuel Economy

Fuel Economy has been a key factor for 2017 Nissan Frontier. It uses regular unleaded fuel with city road mileage close to 19 mpg and highway mileage close to 22 mpg.

2017 Nissan Frontier comes out with 2 models named as SL and PL. These two models differ by modifications in engine and exterior design. These two models will be pricing around $19,000. The latest model will price around $37,000. Prices might vary according to different cities. They showed and discussed the details of this car at New York Motors in 2015. They have been among the first 15 in the market list crossing Honda last September. So this Nissan midsize truck will be seen on the streets after 2017. Nissan has set a net target of 1 million units to be sold by 2018. Frontier will have a net ground clearance of 7.6 inches which is quite high for a pickup truck.
