2018 Audi Q5 Redesign

The 2018 Audi Q5 has been redesigned to offer new safety and convenience features while maintaining its sleek and elegant design. Those who have come to expect world-class design and performance from Audi won’t be disappointed with this luxury SUV.

2018 Audi Q5 – Exterior and Interior Design:

The 2018 Audi Q5 boasts a slightly longer frame than its previous model for more back seat leg room. By incorporating more aluminum into this model, it also sheds nearly 200 pounds. The front of the car boasts an attractive chrome grille and front bumper with fog lights and LED headlights.

The new Audi Q5 has a beautiful interior with wood grain trim, illuminated door handles, and a three-zone automatic climate control system so passengers can ride comfortably in any seat. The automatic sunroof comes standard. The leather seats match the leather steering wheel, and heated, massaging front seats are optional.

One of the nicer features is the reclining back seats, which can be moved forward or backward to allow for maximum leg room. The back seat also has 40/20/40 split folding to maximize cargo space, as well as a pass-through center armrest. This model features ample trunk space with a hands-free liftgate, which is activated by waving a foot under the bumper. This is especially convenient when carrying a large load to the car.

Technology and Safety Features:

The Audi’s voice-activated Multi-Media Interface (MMI) navigation system includes wireless phone charging. A subscription to Audi Connect includes a 4G Wi-Fi connection, Google Earth navigation, and remote phone access.
The model also offers Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch screen that can display the car’s gauges or high-quality images from your phone or navigation system. The MMI system also recognizes voice control so you can safely make calls, play music, or find nearby places to stop. The streamlined display reduces the number of things the driver needs to look at.

An alert system allows for the car to brake if the driver isn’t paying attention. Upgraded safety features include a blind spot alert and a lane-keep assist.

2018 Audi Q5 – Under the Hood:

The 2018 Audi Q5 showcases both the V-4 and V-6 engines. The gasoline four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter engine outputs 245 horsepower and 350 lb-ft torque, while the diesel 3.0-liter V-6 supercharged engine outputs 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft torque. The new model features all-wheel drive and an automatic 8-speed transmission. The Q5 will go from zero to 60 mph in about 6 seconds and zero to 100 mph in 18 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph. A 19.8-gallon tank has a city EPA rating of 22-23 mpg and a highway EPA rating of 29-30 mpg.

2018 Audi Q5 – MSRP and Release Date:

The 2018 Audi Q5 has a base MSRP of $42,000. Upgrade options include Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The release date is expected for early spring of 2017.
